Our History
A Lifetime of Impact.
The journey of Rock Power Business Group began long before the company was formally established. It grew from years of experience in entrepreneurship, leadership development, international engagement, and a commitment to expanding access to opportunity.
In 2008, our founder, Rock Power K. Ntumba, traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in international training delivered by Making Cents International, with support from the Mastercard Foundation. The experience strengthened his exposure to global approaches to entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and leadership development.
It was more than an international training experience. It reinforced a conviction that had already been developing through his work with entrepreneurs in Africa: access to knowledge, networks, preparation, and international opportunities can significantly change people’s trajectories.
He returned to Africa determined to multiply that knowledge and use his international experience to help others access opportunities beyond their immediate environment.
Over the years that followed, his work expanded across entrepreneurship education, leadership development, and international education. These experiences gradually shaped the vision for a professional organization capable of connecting African students and professionals with credible opportunities around the world.
In 2016, that vision took institutional form with the establishment of Rock Power Business Group in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The company developed with a focus on international education, supporting students seeking opportunities to study abroad and helping them navigate the different stages of their international education journey.
In 2021, Rock Power Business Group entered a new phase of international development with the establishment of its UAE operations in Dubai. The expansion to Dubai positioned RPBG within a major international education, business, and travel hub, strengthening its ability to develop relationships with education institutions, platforms, professional associations, and partners across global markets.
Today, from its Dubai headquarters, RPBG supports students, families, professionals, and travelers from French- and English-speaking African communities, both across the African continent and within the African diaspora.
At the same time, RPBG continues to develop sustainable relationships with universities, colleges, schools, and other education providers seeking responsible access to diverse African student markets.
